Please say "howdy" to my friend, honorary cousin and talented storyteller, Sandra Cox. We are celebrating the new release of her sequel, Return to Silverhills!

Return to Silverhills by Sandra Cox

Western--Romance--Adventure Novel

A trail boss with a fast gun. A damaged woman.

A cattle drive fraught with danger. And a combustible attraction.

I'm a big fan of all of Sandra's Westerns. They are set in different time periods and locations. Her stories draw readers into her rambunctious Western adventures and pull their heartstrings during the romantic trials of the main characters.

Sandra, an award-winning and category amazon best-selling author shares a clear and concise list of tips for you today, plus a game!

Yee-haw, pardner, what are your tips?

Greetings everyone. Thanks for hosting me, Cuz, and helping me get the word out on Return to Silverhills.

Are J.Q. and I really cousins? Maybe not, but we keep checking the family tree for a connection.

WRITING TIPS FROM SANDRA COX

1.       READ. Read everything you can get your hands on. Read for entertainment. Read to learn and strengthen your craft. Read. Read. Read.

2.       WRITE. Write down those ideas before they slip away. Write through your block.  Maybe it’s not what you want to say but it can always be revised. There’s no revising nothing. If your muse continues to balk, set your WIP aside, work on something else and come back to it later.

3.       RESEARCH. No matter what genre you are writing in, chances are you will need to do some research.

4.       After you’ve finished your WIP (work-in-progress), go back through and TIGHTEN it up, cut out any extraneous words.

5.       EDIT, then edit some more.

6.       And when you’re done editing, PROOF it.

7.       Got CRITIQUE partners? Have them look it over. Maybe even before you edit and proof.

8.       Send it to your BETA readers.

9.       NETWORK

And finally, the bane of most writers, MARKET your story.

Got any tips you’d like to share?

About Sandra:

Sandra, who also writes as S. Cox, is a vegetarian, animal lover and avid gardener. She lives with her husband, their dog and

Author Sandra Cox
cats in sunny North Carolina.

An award-winning author, her stories consist of all things Western and more.

She spent a number of years in the Midwest chasing down good Southern BBQ. By the time she moved to North Carolina where Southern BBQ is practically a staple, she’d become a vegetarian.

Pineapple is a must-have on pizza, along with black olives and onions.

She loves pumpkin waffles. Pumpkin cream cheese, not so much.
