The question for the Thursday Author Blog Hop this week is: Genres- What two do you think mix together best?
I'm not sure if the question refers to what genres I like to write or prefer to read. My book, Sunshine Boulevard, is a mix of mystery and light horror.
To read for fun, I would pick the combination of my favorite genres--romance and mystery. The great thing about these two is the setting can be in a Western with cowboys, contemporary with high profile business men and women, or space ships filled with interplanetary travellers just to mention a few ideas. There is no limit to love and mystery.
A Who-Dun-It with a hot PI and a curvy, savvy female police lieutenant makes for a fabulous read for me. Say, that would be a fun novel to write too....Hmmm....

An interesting combination of genres
I love it when a couple fall in love, forced together through some mysterious conflict. Hey, add in the light horror, all the better ;)I have found myself becoming more and more enamored with this mix too now that I am a reviewer for Suspense Magazine.
Ah my favorite genre mystery romance. I read your uh....light horror. I couldn't sleep for nights. If that was light, I don't want to read strong. LOL
Glad to see others like the mix of romance and mystery. @Roseanne--LOL!!
Thank you all for visiting!
Romance and Mystery. That's very close to my favorite, which is paranormal/suspense. Of course, there always has to be romance in anything I read!
Great post, and I like the idea of mixing mystery with light horror. Everyone loves a whodunnit. I'm just hoping my new release, The Locket, a "whatdunnit" will be as popular. :)

Wow, that sounds fantastic. And I love feisty heroines too.
Hmmm interesting combo, I am digging it. Love the name and the flamingos!
